The "Say it like a Palestinian" campaign aims to raise awareness among Palestinians about the use of certain terms for describing places, events or ideas, and the influence of such terms on the crystallizing of the Palestinian identity and the political awareness toward the Palestinian cause.

For instance, many people, organisations, political parties and even the signs on the Jerusalem - Ramallah buses describe Qalandia checkpoint as a “crossing.” Using the term “Crossing” is a significant mistake within the Palestinian context because it indicates that the Qalandia checkpoint is a border crossing from one country to another. However, what Qalandia checkpoint actually does is separate between two Palestinian cities, between Palestinian houses, and between Palestinians themselves.

Grassroots Jerusalem, in cooperation with Palestinian Vision Association, created this campaign with the title “Arab Centre for Social Media Development” and offered training courses in occupied Jerusalem.
